Privacy Policy
Version 2026.2 · Updated 2026-10-07
This policy explains what personal information GlamSpot collects, why, and who can see it. GlamSpot is a booking platform for beauty professionals — we help customers discover providers and book appointments; we do not process customers’ payments for services (customers pay providers directly, in person). GlamSpot is the platform’s brand name and is currently operated by its owner.
Information we collect
Account information: your name, e-mail address, and — if you choose to add it — a phone number and a profile photo.
For providers: your business name, category, description, address, city, contact details, and any photos or documents you add to your application or storefront, all shown only after our team approves your application (except what you choose to publish once approved).
Booking information: the service, date, time, and any notes you add when you book or are booked. If you are a home-based provider, your street address is only shared with a customer once you accept their booking.
Provider fee records: for providers, a record of the GlamSpot platform fee linked to each booking you accept (the amount, its status, and any note from our team).
Reviews: the star rating and comment a customer leaves after a completed appointment.
We do not collect payment card details — GlamSpot does not process customers’ payments for services.
How we use your information
To create and secure your account, run the booking system, show provider profiles to customers, send you the notifications described below, and review provider applications and reported content.
Who can see your information
Customers see an approved provider’s public business details, published photos, and public reviews. A provider sees the name, phone number, and notes of a customer who books them. Our admin team can see account and application details in order to approve, reject, or suspend providers, and to review reported content. We never show your account e-mail address to other users.
Notifications
We send in-app notifications for booking updates (requested, accepted, rejected, cancelled, completed) and application updates (more information requested, approved, rejected). You can mark these read or read them all at once inside the app.
Data retention
We keep your account and profile data for as long as your account is active.
When an account is closed, we aim to delete or anonymise its personal account data within 12 months, where reasonably possible.
Some records may remain after an account is closed, and for as long as reasonably necessary or as required by applicable law, for these purposes: booking records, platform-fee records, tax records, fraud prevention, handling disputes, and security. We do not claim any specific legal retention period.
Your rights
You can review and correct your account details at any time in Account settings. You can request a copy of your personal data, or request that your account and data be deleted, from the same screen — a member of our team reviews every such request; nothing is deleted or exported automatically or immediately.
Third parties
GlamSpot is built on Supabase, which stores our database, authentication, and uploaded files on our behalf as a data processor. We use Resend to send e-mails such as sign-up confirmation and password-reset messages. These service providers may store and process data in data centres outside Libya. We do not sell your personal information.
Children
GlamSpot is only for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account, book appointments, register as a provider, or use GlamSpot. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we may suspend or close it.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change to this policy, we will update the version and date at the top of this page.
